Road freight
is the most dominant form of transport in India, carrying over 71% of India’s freight requirements. The B2B transport industry serves 3 types of freight traffic:
- Local
- Regional
- National
and serves (1) general cargo, (2) specialized (including over-dimensional cargo) & (3) containerized cargo.
But transport operators in India are segmented and disorganized, still steeped in an era of FTL (full truck load ; contractual agreements), aren’t inclined to invest in upgrading assets nor infrastructure , are resistant to commit assets to ‘on-demand’ (better known as spot rates) trucking & exhibit a general reluctance to provide value-added services like packing & prep, in-transit storage facilities, tech enablement, etc.
Despite the challenges, the road freight industry has grown to be a reliable & dependable service provider of anywhere-to-everywhere services, in the most demanding environments – unrests, riots, natural calamities, Covid 19..

The Government of India has launched the PM Gati Shakti (2021), the National Logistics Policy (2022) and in conjunction with MoRTH & Indian Railways, is looking to develop road, rail & multi-modal infrastructure to ensure that costs associated with Road Freight are at parity with international norms and that Indian MSMEs have cost-optimized access to the national & international freight network.
Opta Freight‘s benefits

(2) No Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM)
We pay the RCM, if appropriate – not our customers.
(3) Containerized trucks
We insist that our transport partners use only containerized trucks for hub to hub freight.

Unlike traditional road carriers, we offer door to door services.
(5) Unified interface
